(Disclaimer: writing about clothing is wayyyyy not my normal. You'll have to read the Day 1 to understand why this seemingly shallow blog entry is a step of obedience in the most uncomfortable yet precious way.)
I simply do not have time to make style my masters degree. And after the horrid Olympic Opening in Paris, I realize how incredibly poorly done fashion can be done. It was so unprofessional in every way.
But if I reverse that and make style easy, then I am succeeding for my goals.
This day was called Do the Work.
She had us write out formulas for work, for social and for weekend.
A couple of my work:
boyfriend jeans + tank top + paint shirt (but in my colors and that fit) + sneakers
overalls + lacey blouse + birks + cuff bracelet
Paint skirt + button down + bandana
Social:
denim maxi skirt + lacey blouse + cuff bracelet or locket layered with pearls
I'm actually wearing this formula today to take Laina thrifting and to a tea house. We are VERY casual in these parts. You could go in shorts and a t shirt around here, so this is styling up a bit.
As I type these samples of formulas, some gaps arise. Still looking for Levi's boyfriend jeans, soft natural fiber sweaters to wear in lieu of sweatshirts, some more poetic blouses both to paint in and to wear as good clothing.
